A home multimedia network centralises the distribution of internet, television and telephony to every room of a dwelling, through structured cabling (copper or optical fibre) connected to a communication panel.
In new builds
On a construction project, the multimedia network is planned from the design stage: dedicated conduits, and positioning of the VDI panel (Voice, Data, Image) and RJ45 sockets in every office, living room or bedroom.
In existing buildings
In an existing building, MaythEG assesses the available routes (false ceilings, technical ducts, skirting boards) to integrate the network with minimal rework. Wi-Fi alone quickly reaches its limits in speed and reliability in large residences or commercial buildings: a structured wired network remains the most robust solution for the lifespan of the building.
